Three killed, four injured in Karachi violence

Three people were killed while four others injured in separate incidents of violence here on Wednesday. According to police and rescue sources, 22-year-old Ali Murad was shot dead by unknown people in Lyari in the jurisdictions of Chakiwara police station. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital (CH) for medico-legal formalities.
In another incident, Asif, son of Anwar, allegedly committed suicide while hanging with ceiling fan inside his house (No-264) located in the limits of Bilal Colony in the limits of Awami Colony police satiation. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for post-mortem examinations.
Sarwar, 30, son of Shamim, was gunned down by unknown armed man in Orangi No 2, in the jurisdictions of Mominabad police station. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsy. In the same way, Akbar, son of Abdul Rehman, was shot and injured by unidentified armed man near Chamra Chowrangi in the jurisdiction of Korangi Industrial Area (KIA) police station. He was rushed to JPMC for medical assistance.
Meanwhile, three children sustained injuries in a cracker blast in Taiser Town in the limits of Surjani police station. Police said the incident occurred when a 10-year-old boy, Ismail, son of Alauddin, while playing with a ball considering it as toy and pushed it towards his friends, resultantly it went off leaving three children injured. The injured were rushed to the ASH for treatment. Police said the ball was filled with explosives. Police said a sound ball cracker was also recovered from the same place.
