LCCI condemns aggression at LoC, Working Boundary

10 Oct, 2014

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has condemned the Indian aggression at Line of Control & Working Boundary in the strongest possible words and demanded of the government to effectively and forcefully raise the issue at all international fora.
"Irresponsible act of Indian government raising alarm bells for prospects of peace and tranquillity in otherwise volatile region. The growing tension, caused by Indian provocative policy, is not a good sign as confrontation between two nuclear powers could lead mass destruction."
LCCI President Ijaz A Mumtaz said that brutal killing of innocent Pakistanis by the Indian Army was not tolerable. He feared dire consequences of unprovoked Indian shelling. He urged the government to convey a clear message to the Indian government that Pakistan had the ability to give a strong answer of Indian aggression. While expressing concern over the role of international community, LCCI President said that United Nations should take notice of the Indian aggression and intervene in the matter as Pakistan was an atomic power and any irresponsibility by the Indian side could give birth to a historic human tragedy.
