Muhammad Shoaib Ibrahim, CEO, First Habib Modaraba has been elected as Chairman, Naveed Amin, CEO, SME Leasing Limited as Senior Vice Chairman and Rashid Kamal Siddiqui, CEO, KASB Modaraba as Vice Chairman of NBFI & Modaraba Association of Pakistan for the period 2014-15. This was announced by Mohammed Khalid Ali, Election Commissioner, in the 4th Annual General Meeting of the Association.
The following members were also elected as Members Executive Committee: Syed Wajih Hassan, CEO, First Paramount Modaraba; Muhammad Asif, CEO, Invest Capital Investment Bank Ltd; Shiraz Butt, COO, First IBL Modaraba; Ms Hamida Aqeel, COO/CS, Trust Modaraba; Ms Effat Assad, AGM/CS, ORIX Leasing Pakistan Limited; Sajjad Haider Khan, CA, First Treet Manufacturing Modaraba and Muhammad Siddique, CFO, Standard Chartered Modaraba.
Earlier Mr Murtaza Ahmed Ali, outgoing Chairman highlighted the events and activities undertaken by the NBFI & Modaraba Association of Pakistan during the last year. He congratulated the newly elected committee led by Muhammad Shoaib Ibrahim and said that he and his team has tried to resolve the sector issues to a great extent but challenges are still prevailing which will be addressed by new committee under the chairmanship of Shoaib. The newly elected Chairman Muhammad Shoaib Ibrahim thanked the outgoing Chairman and appreciated the work done by the outgoing Committee.-PR
