Hayatabad Industrial Estate: KPCCI voices concern over excessive power loadshedding

20 Jun, 2014

Expressing concern over excessive electricity loadshedding in Hayatabad Industrial Estate Peshawar, KP Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) termed that industrial activities are rapidly slowing under a planned conspiracy. "The unannounced electricity load shedding is being carried out by Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) around 10 hours in the Hayatabad Industrial Estate under a planned conspiracy," said KPCCI President Zahidullah Shinwari in a statement issued here on Thursday.
He recalled that Pesco chief had exempted all industrial estates from electricity load shedding during his last visit to the KPCCI but still there is no implementation. KPCCI chief warned that if the Pesco would not stop the unannounced electricity load shedding in the Hayatabad Industrial Estate Peshawar, then industrials will start a strong protest against Pesco. Shinwari urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Abbasi to take this issue with federal government immediately. He also asked the Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Asif and State Minister, Abid Sher Ali to take action against those officials of Pesco who are responsible for this conspiracy.
