Sindh TVET institutes: Tusdec completes training of solar tech instructors

Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (Tusdec) has completed the training of second batch of solar technology for the instructors belonging to the different Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes of Sindh province.
A five-day training course was organised in collaboration with Research and Development Foundation (RDF), Hyderabad, said a Tusdec spokesperson here on Thursday. TUSDEC has inked an agreement with RDF to train two batches of instructors in the specialised area of Photovoltaic. The objective of the programme was to introduce a new and innovative stream of solar technology in the training portfolio of TVET institutes operating in the remote areas to prepare and connect the students with contemporary demand driven market trades for the supply of productive workforce to the industry.
Tusdec engaged proficient and seasoned trainers with an enhanced outlook of renewable energy arena. The trainers have edified the candidates with latest trends and designing techniques in Photovoltaic. During the training session, students were apprised with the testing, installation and troubleshooting of numerous kinds of solar panels which are currently in demand by the solar industry in the country.
Tusdec has facilitated the trainees not only through practical trainings at state-of-the-art solar lab but also arranged special sessions on solar cell manufacturing, renewable energy, competency based trainings (CBT), competency based curricula (CBC) and assessment techniques. TUSDEC has established a high tech solar lab outfitted with the most modern equipment to improve industry's demand for technically adept manpower in the field of solar technology.
Multiple donor agencies are also participating with Tusdec in its efforts of providing skilled and technically sound workforce in alternate energy solutions. Skilled manpower is the fuel for technology and industrial development and by efficaciously amalgamating the skills and industrial demands, the objective of economic growth can be achieved.
