More than 150 male and female activists of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Wednesday observed sit-in at Chowk Nawan Shehr to press the authorities for institution of murder cases against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, and also demanded to withdraw of a case instituted against 3,000 workers including PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri's son, Hussain Mohiuddin and also demanded compensation for 85 injured persons.
Hundreds of workers were sitting on the road in scorching heat for five hours. They also offered Fateha for the martyrs of Tuesday's Lahore incident. "We do not believe in cowardly reaction. Our reaction and vengeance will be nothing but a green revolution," said Dr Tahirul Qadri in his telephonic address. A spokesman of PAT announced that three-day mourning would be observed in commemoration of the PAT's martyrs and Fateha Khawani will also be held on Friday.
