A plumber found the body of a two-day-old baby girl from a clogged toilet in the Palakkad district of Kerala, India two days ago.

The body was recovered at a local clinic run by Dr. Abdul Rehman, who had reportedly called a plumber after he noticed the obstruction in the toilet bowl. According to the police, the plumbers found something that looked like a ball while they were trying to unclog the toilet but were left in complete shock after the baby’s head popped up.

The body of the two-day-old’s baby still had her placenta attached to her, letting the police to believe that the culprits behind this heinous crime might be her parents. The police suspect that her parents brought the girl to the clinic on pretext of consultation and flushed the baby down the toilet.

However, as the placenta was still intact, the police also believe that the mother could have delivered the girl inside the washroom. All the records at the clinic of the patients are being checked by the police.

"Investigation is under way. We are analyzing the records, but we haven't been able to identify her parents yet," police sources told NDTV.
