Google is all set to release a redesign for Gmail for the web interface in the coming weeks with a number of new features.

The tech giant Google has confirmed in a statement to The Verge that a new Gmail design is about to roll out. The company’s spokesperson said, “We’re working on some major updates to Gmail that are still in draft phase.” The new Gmail will host fresh features, the details of most will be discovered in the coming weeks.

In an email sent to G Suite customers, the company have said the new look will initially be made available in an Early Adopter Program for its G Suite customers and later to regular Gmail customers. G Suite, earlier known as Google Apps, is a collection of cloud based applications such as Gmail, Hangouts, and Docs etc.

Google removes its Pixel, Pixel XL from online stores

Among the upcoming features, Gmail users will be able to snooze e-mails so that they may reappear in the inbox later. Also, smart replies, already available to Android and iOS, will now be launched for the web version, Tech Crunch reports.

After the revamped look for Google Calendar on the desktop last year, the redesigned look will be the first major upgrade in years to Gmail.
