Mehtab briefed about arrangements at new Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Civil Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Tuesday instructed that all arrangements at new Islamabad International airport should be finalized so that passengers do not face any difficulties.

While chairing a meeting about the new airport, he directed the civil aviation officials to provide all facilities to airlines and other staff working at the airport.

The advisor took a detailed briefing from different departments including Civil Aviation, PIA, Airport Security Force, Regional Transport Authorities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and technical sections.

He said flights will start from the new international airport from April 20. The officials of different airlines gave briefing about services to be provided to the passengers, flight operation, cargo, kitchen and baggage handling.

Mehtab said information about flight timings and flight routes should be updated on the official website.
