Forex reserves decline $570m

KARACHI: The country’s total liquid foreign reserves fell by $570 million during the last week due to external debt servicing. According to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country’s total liquid foreign exchange stood at $ 12 billion as of Dec-16, 2022 down from $12.57 billion as of Dec 9, 2022.

SBP-held foreign exchange reserves fall another $15mn, now stand at $6.7bn

During the week under review, SBP’s reserves decreased by $ 584 million to $ 6.12 billion due to external debt repayment. While net foreign reserves held by commercial banks rose by $14 million to $ 5.884 billion.
