FPCCI urges KP governor to help turn ‘charter of economy’ dream into reality

KARACHI: Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, the president of FPCCI, has urged the former president of FPCCI and now the KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali to help turn the dream of ‘charter of economy’ into a reality as he is well-regarded across party lines and had a long and illustrious career as a force of reconciliation and unity.

Expressing his profound gratitude and optimism that a former FPCCI president has been appointed as the KP governor, he recalled that KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali had utilized his FPCCI chief tenure for the service of the entire business community, industry in a selfless manner.

Mian Anjum Nisar, former president FPCCI, apprised that economy is the most crucial issue of Pakistan and it will help a great deal that KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali will be sitting at a key position to influence the policy-making in the interest of business community and play the role of a bridge between the provincial and federal governments and the business community – resulting in employment generation; boost to commercial activities; facilitation to transit trade; emphasis on border trade; expansion of barter trade and revenue generation.

Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, former president FPCCI, noted that the biggest challenge and opportunity at the same time for Governor Haji Ghulam Ali would be to help set the right direction and priorities for the government policymakers in the interest of the country’s economy.
