PESHAWAR: Bajaur Festival inaugurated with full zeal and zest here on Sunday. On the first day – Sakhi - a traditional game of Bajaur including kabaddi, tug-of-war, martial arts competitions, and traditional musical event were organized.

Department of Tourism, Culture, Sports, Archeology, Museums and Youth Affairs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Tourism Authority Merged Districts Wing, District Administration Bajaur and Bajaur Scouts started the two-day Bajaur Festival with mutual collaboration in which traditional food stalls, handicraft stalls, along with various sports competitions were held among the youth.

Kids play area, jumping pad and cartoon characters were also arranged for kids’ entertainment.In tug of war, Utmankhel green won the trophy by defeating Momand Tiger by 2-0, while various martial arts competitions were held. School students also presented various tableaus during the festival.
