ISLAMABAD: The National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has issued threat alert that hostile international agencies (HIAs) are planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Karachi.

Sources said that according to the NACTA, HIAs were planning to carry out a major terrorist activity against unspecified important government departments located in Karachi in future.

They while quoting the alert said that reconnaissance of the target and necessary preparation has already been completed.

Extreme vigilance and heightened security measures are suggested to avoid any untoward incident, they said.
