SAO PAULO: Sao Paulo's stock exchange passed 120,000 points for the first time on Wednesday. The Ibovespa index reached 120,149 points shortly after opening but had dropped to 119,570 by midday -- still a 0.13 percent increase on Tuesday's closing position.
