CAA initiates inquiry after passenger levels allegations against airline staff

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has barred an airline staff member from performing duty after a passenger alleged that he was slapped by staff at the airport.

A video was shared on social media where in a passenger alleged that he was slapped by staff at the airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority has made a preliminary check along with scrutiny of the CCTV footage, it has been found that the staff at check-in counter of a foreign airline handed over passport and ID card of the passenger to another passenger,” said CAA in a statement.

“Immediately the other passenger was located and documents retrieved there was exchange of hot words between the passenger and the airline staff no evidence of passenger being slapped by airline staff has been found,” it added.

However, the airline staff member has been stopped from performing duty at the airline check in counter till the completion of the enquiry.
