CBOT soybeans regain on renewed Chinese buying

  • Most-active CBOT November soybeans ended 6 cents higher at $10.62-1/4 a bushel.
  • CBOT December soymeal ended $8.50 higher at $372.10 per short ton while December soyoil finished 0.71 cent at 33.17 cents per pound.

CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures cautiously lifted on Tuesday as sales to China outweighed South American rainfall and harvest pressure, traders said.

Most-active CBOT November soybeans ended 6 cents higher at $10.62-1/4 a bushel.

CBOT December soymeal ended $8.50 higher at $372.10 per short ton while December soyoil finished 0.71 cent at 33.17 cents per pound.

The USDA reported 261,000 tonnes more of US soybean sales to China on Thursday morning.

The US soybean crush declined in September to the lowest monthly level in a year, but was slightly above trade expectations, according to data released by the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) on Thursday.
