KARACHI: Sindh Excise and Taxation department has collected a revenue amounting Rs 11.82 billion during July and August, 2020.

According to details, the department has collected a total of Rs 11.82 billion during July and August period.

Around Rs.9342.721 million was collected under infrastructure cess and Rs.1390 million under motor vehicle tax while Rs.96.947 million was collected under professional tax and Rs.314.010 million under property tax. Similarly, Rs 4.933 million was collected as cotton fee and Rs 0.717 million as entertainment duty.

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla termed overall situation of collection of taxes as satisfactory, directing the officers to further improve the revenue collection.
