IR, Customs Services: FBR to transfer officials working on same positions for 3 years

ISLAMABAD: In line with the resolution No.459 passed by the Senate, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to transfer all officials of Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service, who are working on the same position in the field formations for the last three years.

According to the FBR's instructions issued to all FBR Members/Director Generals, Chief Commissioners, Chief Collectors, Collectors and Directors here on Friday, refer to the Establishment Division's O.M. whereby it has been intimated that a Resolution No. 459 has been passed by Senate of Pakistan in which it has been recommended that the officers of occupational groups who have normal tenure of three years at same post and still working shall be transferred as per provisions of Estacode. Senate Secretariat therefore requested Establishment Division to take such actions as required in the matter under sub-rule (2) of Rule 143 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, which states that:- "2 The Division concerned shall report to the Senate Secretariat about the action taken on the resolution within a period of two months from the date of resolution."

In view of this all heads of field formations are requested to ensure that officers of Inland Revenue Service and Pakistan Customs Service whose transfer power rest with them and who have tenure of three years at same post and still working may be transferred. Report in this regard may be furnished to Chief (Management-IR) and Chief (Management-Customs) in case of IRS and PCS, respectively by September 15, for onward submission to Senate of Pakistan, FBR's instructions added.
