ANP demands opening of all trade routes with Afghanistan

PESHAWAR: Provincial president ANP, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Aimal Wali Khan has called for the opening of all trade routes with Afghanistan after complete opening of Pak-Afghan trade route at Chaman border.

In a statement issued here Saturday, the ANP's provincial leader said that currently more than 3000 containers are stranded only at Torkham and there is a possibility of the perishing of goods loaded in them. He said that the incompetence of the government had inflicted irreparable loss to Pak-Afghan trade. He said that the opening of trade through Chaman border is welcoming, but this decision will also require consistency. He said that due to closure of trade routes Afghanistan bounded goods loaded in these containers had become unusable.

Aimal Wali Khan said that due to parking of containers loaded vehicles at Mathani, Badhber and all around southern districts had also created hardships for the common men and they have to face difficulties in movement.
