ISLAMABAD: Senate Deputy Chairperson Saleem Mandviwalla on Wednesday did not appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a case pertaining to multi-billion rupees fake bank accounts.

The combined investigation team (CIT) of the NAB had summoned Mandviwalla to record his statement in connection with illegal allotments of plots case of Overseas Cooperative Housing Society Ltd (Kidney Hill) and its payment from fake bank accounts.

Sources said Mandviwalla had written a letter to the NAB, and requested to postpone his appearance, and fix a fresh date in the next week.

They said NAB Rawalpindi would issue another summon to him for appearing before the investigators.

The NAB has already arrested former managing director of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Overseas Cooperative Society Chairperson Ijaz Haroon in the same case.
