European Union permits PIA to operate until July 3

Owing to the efforts of the government of Pakistan, the European Union has given permission to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to operate till July 3. The permission was given to bring back the Pakistanis stranded abroad.

The efforts of the government of Pakistan came to fruition, the ban on PIA was relaxed by the European Union, from today until July 3, flights to and from the UK and Europe will be allowed.

Earlier, the European Union's air safety agency announced the suspension of PIA's air operations permits for European countries for six months from July 1, after which PIA temporarily canceled all flights to Europe.

On the development, the Foreign Secretary immediately contacted the ambassadors of all European countries, while the PIA administration, the Foreign Ministry, and the ambassadors of Pakistan are in constant touch with the European authorities, after which the European Union allowed the PIA to conduct air operations for four days.

The European Union (EU) has allowed PIA to land and overfly in the UK and Europe for four days until further notice, after which PIA's return flights from Islamabad to London and PK785 and 786 will operate as usual. Other flights will be announced soon.

As per details, the concession was given to bring back Pakistanis stranded abroad, air operations were allowed in Oslo, Milan, and Paris.
