(Karachi) Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that Indian forces are engaged in extreme human rights violations and barbarism in Jammu Kashmir.

Addressing an event in Islamabad on Friday, he said that millions of Kashmiris have been killed in the valley since 1990. He added that during coronavirus pandemic, the Indian troops continued killing innocent people in Kashmir.

He highlighted that Indian soldiers are involved in extra-judicial killings of Kashmiris. "The situation in the valley worsened after India's move of August 5, 2019, revoking Kashmir's special status."

The minister mentioned that Pakistan knows how to defend its borders and its armed forces are fully prepared to give befitting response to any misadventure from Indian side.

Faraz urged the international community to take notice of the situation and ask India to stop torture and killings in the region.
