The total number of coronavirus cases in Sindh reached 75168 on Thursday, while the death toll jumped to 1178 .

In the last 24 hours, province conducted 6458 tests, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said. "Out of these tests, 1098 came out positive," he said. Sindh has tested 409145 people out of which 75168 have tested positive.

The CM continued that out of the new cases, 494 were reported from Karachi.

Shah further said that in the past 24 hours, 17 people passed away from the novel virus. Sindh's coronavirus fatalities have reached 1178, the chief minister said. He further said that 641 patients are critically ill, while 99 are on ventilator.

While speaking about the recovered patients, the CM said today 1267 more patients have recovered. "Cumulatively, 40740 patients have recovered in Sindh," he added.
