IHC reserves judgment on case against Musharraf

Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurengzaib heard the case filed by a citizen seeking NAB investigation against former president.

During the course of proceeding, the counsel for the petitioner contended that Musharraf had declared assets worth Rs one billion in his nomination papers.

This huge amount couldn't be saved from the salary of the former president, he said.

He requested the court to issue directives to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to make a probe that how the former president had managed to save one billion rupees.

The apex court had ordered NAB to hold investigation against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and in the same way the court could issue directives for probe against Musharraf, the petitioner said.

The bench remarked that the court would decide the matter in accordance of law.

The bench reserved the judgment and adjourned hearing of the case.
