After levelling three-match Twenty 20 International (T20I) series against New Zealand, Pakistan are now on verge of becoming the best T20 side in the world.

Pakistan outclassed the host in all departments of the game in the must win T20. They have lost the One Day International (ODI) series 5-0 and Sarfraz XI also lost the first T20I as well.

The way they bounced back in the second T20 was remarkable, as it was a treat to watch if for Pakistan cricket fans.

With the victory Pakistan are now a win away to climbing the top of the mountain in Twenty 20 cricket. They currently stand on the second spot in the MRF Tyres ICC Twenty teams rankings.

New Zealand took over Pakistan in the rankings when they defeated West Indies in T20 series.

If the hosts lose the series decider, then Pakistan will move on to the top spot in the ranking while New Zealand would slip to second spot. Meanwhile if Pakistan lose, they will retain their second spot in the International Cricket Council rankings.
