Senates passes three resolutions

ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Monday passed three resolutions including control the lowering of water table, provide natural gas to areas adjoining gas fields in Sindh and include finality of Prophet-hood (Aqeeda-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwat) in the syllabus of Muslim students being taught in all educational institutions.

Two resolutions to establish two new platoons of Frontier Constabulary and install airbags as well as ABS brakes in all vehicles were dropped due to absence of their movers.

The Chair deferred a resolution on the request of mover which demanded to set up separate branches of the National Bank of Pakistan in Tehsils Dadak and Kangri of District Musakhel, Balochistan.

A resolution to open schools on various national days was withdrawn by the mover on government assurance to hold awareness programs on these days.

Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal responded to a point of public importance about   missing person with particular reference to missing of Raza Mehmood Khan from Lahore, December 2, 2017. He said that coordination has been made with law enforcement agencies and efforts are underway to trace him.
