Food items dispatched to flood victims

On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, District Administration Rahim Yar Khan has dispatched the second consignment of dry ration to the flood victims of Thatha, Mirpur Khas, Tandu Allah Yar and Tandu Muhammad Khan in Sindh province. Addl. District Collector Syed Wajid Ali Shah and Assistant Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan Rauf Ahmed sent the convoy. The relief items include Atta bags, pulses, rice, ghee, red chilies, salt and other edibles.
Talking to media on this occasion, Addl. District Collector Syed Wajid Ali Shah said that the relief items are an Eid gift from Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for the flood-hit people of Sindh province. He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, the provincial government will not leave the calamity-stricken Sindhi brethren unattended in the hour of need. He said that on the instructions of District Co-ordination Officer Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi, the district officers made arrangements in a short period of time and sent the convoy to Sindh.
He said that 11 trucks carrying relief items have been sent to the flood-hit people of four districts of Sindh. He said that four trucks have been sent to Thatha, three to Mirpur Khas and two each to Tandu Allah Yar and Tandu Muhammad Khan. He said that more relief items will be sent to the flood-hit people of Sindh from Rahim Yar Khan District.
