SBCA takes action against building laws violators

Sindh Building Control Authority, formerly Karachi Building Control Authority, has cancelled No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to Messrs Diamond Builders for violation of building laws in its project, "Karachi Complex" under construction in Liaquatabad.
According to a SBCA (KBCA) press release on Saturday, License No BL-2364 issued to Diamond Builders was also revoked for failure to comply with SBCA (KBCA) rules and regulations. Moreover, as per the directives of SBCA Director General, Manzoor Qadir all illegal construction, exceeding approved plans, done by builders in different parts of the city have been demolished and sealed. Messrs Diamond Builders have also been prohibited from the publicity of any projects, sale and purchase and continuation of the construction work in any part of the city.
SBCA has warned people not to make any investment in Karachi Complex project, situated at plot survey number 642, Deh Gujjaro, Sir Suleiman Road, Liaquatabad. Meanwhile, the demolition squads of SBCA (KBCA) in its campaign against buildings erected and construction work thereof done in violation of authority's rules have also demolished sixth floor of a building on plot number SR - 1,8-A Surrey Quarters, Saddar. Similarly, walls raised as part of 10th floor over a building constructed upon plot number SR - 2, 11/2/1, plot number in Saddar Town were razed by the demolition teams.
