Two student groups clash: one injured

An armed clash between two student organisations triggered intense wave of tension in Saddar Town, lasting for hours on Saturday. According to police, armed clash between Punjabi Student Association (PSA) and Islami Jamiaat Tulaba near Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) over graffiti issue left Sabir Ali injured.
They said both groups, who earlier had scuffled with sticks and iron rods, started firing on each other a little later. Meanwhile, SHO Saddar police station said both groups scuffled with each other over the issue of wall chalking and added that the injured belonged to PSA. Heavy contingent of police and Rangers reached the spot and brought the situation under control. No case and arrest were made till filing of this report.
