Pakistan fast bowler Usman Shinwari emerged as a potential superstar for the cricket team, however, his unexpected back injury has sent shock waves around the dressing room.

“The news of Shinwari’s injury that could potentially keep him out of cricket for a good few months has shocked us all,” said Pakistan bowling coach Azhar Mahmood, quoted PakPassion.

The bowling coach revealed that Shinwari had faced similar injury earlier, saying that injuries to a fast bowler are a common occurrence on the cricket field. “However, what is strange about Shinwari’s injury is that a left-armer usually gets a front-side injury on the left of his body but this injury is the other way around,” he added.

Earlier, it was reported that Shinwari has suffered a serious stress fracture of the back and may take next four to six months to recover from the injury.

Meanwhile, the former all-rounder said that use of ‘bio-mechanics expert’ can help fast bowlers, as we can learn how to avoid injuries and get strength in the weaker areas of our fast-bowlers.
