After the court prosecuted deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar, Maryam has claimed that one day there would be accountability of the accountability process her family is going through.

Speaking to the media after the hearing on Thursday in Islamabad, Maryam said, “Injustice and atrocities cannot continue together”.

An accountability court has indicted Nawaz, Maryam and Captain Safdar (retd) in connection with a reference pertaining to the Avenfield flats filed against them by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). However, the accused have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Maryam said that Pakistan Muslim League is united and those attempting to break the party are themselves breaking. “The party is still following the policy of Nawaz Sharif,” she added.

She further added that law and justice should not be disrespected. “Instead of holding hearings every day and wasting time, the judgment should be given once and for all,” she added.
