Need stressed to enhance bilateral trade ties between Pakistan and Norway

SIALKOT: First Secretary (Development), Norwegian Embassy, Jorn Wichne Pedersen on Tuesday stressed the need for enhancing bilateral trade ties between Pakistan and Norway.

He expressed these views while visiting Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA) office here.

He assured to enhance bilateral trade particularity in leather industry.

He said that Pakistan had tremendous potential in manufacturing different export items.

In his welcome address, PGMEA Chairman Nadeem Abdullah said that research was an expensive business and advance technologies were being transformed into appropriate technologies as per local requirements and circumstances.

He said that leather industry was currently facing tough competition in international market due to recent global crisis.

He stressed the need for establishing research and development centre to meet the requirements of modern world.
