ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's annual inflation rate accelerated to 3.86 percent in September from 3.42 percent a month earlier, the state Bureau of Statistics said on Monday.

On a month-on-month basis, the inflation rate was 0.63 percent in September over the previous month, the bureau said.

Food items such as onions, tomatoes and mangoes were the main reason behind the increase in month-on-month prices.
