Foggy weather to continue in Punjab

Dense fog engulfed different parts of southern Punjab including Multan, whereas it has been reduced in central and upper Punjab on Monday. According to Meteorological department, the spell of dense fog will continue in next few days in plain areas of Punjab. PIA has cancelled all the flights for Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Quetta for the third day and closed the Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan airports.
Federal Finance Minister, Shaukat Tareen could not reach Multan to attend a reception of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) due to cancellation of the flight. All trains are running three to seven hours behind schedule while buses and van were taking more time to reach at their destinations. Thick haze has covered Multan, Bahawalpur and adjoining areas and other parts of southern Punjab. Motorway and Highway police sources said the visibility from Taranda Muhammad Panah to Multan via Lodhran is zero, therefore, passengers were advised not to travel.
