LAHORE: Pakistan team has kicked off the training camp at the Gaddafi Stadium here in Lahore on Tuesday ahead of the Test series against Sri Lanka.

The camp will continue until September 23, in which head coach Mickey Arthur held a detailed lecture for the participants before the training got underway.

Former skipper, Azhar Ali, who faces a knee injury, was also in attendance and performed light exercises alongside his teammates.

The first Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka begins in Abu Dhabi on September 28.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had already announced the 16-member squad for the series.

Squad: Azhar Ali, Shan Masood, Sami Aslam, Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Haris Sohail, Sarfraz Ahmed, Usman Salahuddin, Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Asghar, Mohammad Abbas, Bilal Asif, Mir Hamza and Wahab Riaz.
