West Indian cricket legend, Richie Richardson reached Pakistan on Saturday, for the upcoming Independence Cup.

Richardson, was appointed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to officiate the upcoming tournament in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Hailed as one the greats of world cricket Richardson has performed the duties of referee in 11 Tests, 19 ODIs and 18 T20Is.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday, informed that Aleem Dar of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and Ahsan Raza of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires will perform the umpiring duties in the series opener at Gaddafi Stadium on 12 September.

Shozab Raza, also from the international panel, will be the TV umpire.

Meanwhile, the second match of the series will be umpired by Ahmed Shahab and Shozab Raza, with Ahsan Raza as the TV umpire. Whereas, the finale to take place on September 15 will be umpired by Ahsan Raza and Shozab Raza, with Ahmed Shahab as the TV umpire.
