Vocational training vital for industrial growth: FCCI

This was stated by Engineer Ahmed Hassan, Vice President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry in a meeting with Muhammad Ali Khan team leader of Private Sector Engagement Program of GIZ here Thursday. He said that youth is most precious asset of Pakistan and we must equip them with necessary skills in order to fully exploit their productive and creative capabilities.

He said that TEVTA, PVTC and Punjab Skills Development Fund are already working in public sector. These institutions are providing training facilities to our youth in different market driven trades in order to cater to the immediate needs of local industry in addition to exporting surplus skilled manpower to the potential international markets within the available resources.

He termed the Private Sector Engagement Program of GIZ as an intimate and appropriate step in the right direction.

He also appreciated the efforts of the principals of various vocational training institutes and told that they are providing skilled manpower to the local industrial units.
