Pakistan middle order batsman, Umar Akmal is breaking a sweat these days, and is working on his fitness in order to return to the national side.
“I am focusing on my cricket and my fitness,” said Akmal in a recent interview to local media.
Akmal, who is present in England these days was optimistic saying that he would soon meet the fitness standards of the team and coaches and will join the team in near future.

“Yes, it was disappointing not to be part of the Champions Trophy team, but there were issues related to my fitness so I was sent back,” said Akmal.
The controversial middle order batsman was dropped from Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad owing to fitness issues, the grenn shirts however, went on to win the tournament.
