ISLAMABAD: Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bazenjo has said demand of resignation of the prime minister by the opposition was unfair before the verdict of the Supreme Court regarding Panama Papers case.

Attitude of opposition parties especially Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was not appropriate on the matter of Panama Papers, he said talking to PTV.

The minister said PTI was demanding resignation of the prime minister from last four years in its every dharna and rally.

He said the Joint Investigation Team's (JIT) report was controversial and besides Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, many other political parties also had reservations on it, adding the JIT members had made the report controversial by their conducts.

Bizenjo said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should be strengthened for holding transparent accountability.

Replying to a question, he said corruption allegations was an old weapon which had been used against many elected governments in past.
