Pakistan will face arch-rivals India today (Saturday), in World Hockey League classification match for the positions from fifth to eight at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Pakistan, which exhibited poor run in the ongoing league suffering from three back-to-back defeats in the league matches first Holland beat them 4-0 with Canada thrashing them 6-0 thrashing, followed by loss to India 7-1.

It is pertinent to inform that the league is also the qualifying round of the next year’s World Hockey Cup.

Pakistan only win of the tournament came against Scotland, which were defeated 3-1. However, the green shorts still managed to enter the quarter-finals of the league when Canada which needed a win against Scotland to make it to the quarter finals played a 1-1 draw.

However, the men in green were thrashed by powerhouse Argentina in the quarters by 3-1.
