Poland's Jan-May central budget gap at 0.3pc of 2017 plan

In comparison, in the corresponding period last year the deficit reached 13.5 billion zlotys, or 24.6 percent of the full-year plan.

The ministry also said that in the first five months of 2017 value added tax (VAT) revenue rose by 30.0 percent year-on-year, helping total tax revenue increase by 18.8 percent year-on-year.
