Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz , Media Coordinator, Muhammad Mehdi has accused former Pakistan captain and chief of the opposition part Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, of match-fixing during during his time as a cricketer.

“A complete probe is the need of the hour to trace the amount Imran took in reward for his dubious refusal to bowl despite being the main striker of the team,” he said, quoted Express Tribune.

“An investigation should be carried out to know the number of ducks (out for zero runs) made by Imran for money,” he added.

Mehdi added that Imran made a lot of money by ignoring national duty, when he did not participate in 1983 ODI World Cup in England and took part in the Kerry Packer series.

Pakistan fared poorly during the 1983 World Cup.
