Also in attendance at the press meet was director Imtiaz Ali who engaged the actress in a brief QnA session. But what caught our attention was Manisha reminiscing about the time she worked with Shah Rukh Khan.

The Bollywood actress has worked on a number of movies with Shah Rukh Khan in the 90s. When asked about working with Shah Rukh Khan she said: “Shah Rukh has been the same, he is full of energy and enthusiasm and he’s always been an absolute pleasure.”

When Imtiaz Ali told her that he recently met Shah Rukh Khan and spoke to him about her, Shah Rukh was very happy when he came to know that Manisha is doing a comeback and then started talking about her and good things about her. He also said Manisha is very genuine and pure to which, Manisha blushed.

Manisha also added, “Shah Rukh is really protective and he advised me a lot. I was very casual and he probably felt I’m not getting it right. He always told me to do the right thing.”

Manisha Koirala and Shah Rukh Khan gave Bollywood ‘Dil Se’ which was a blockbuster in the late 90s. The two seem to be very fond of each other.

The film ‘Dear Maya’, directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar is slated to release on June 2, 2017.
