LAHORE: Another honour for the former Pakistan Test captain, Misbah ul Haq has a knack of being the first in many is all set to become the first recipient of the Imtiaz Ahmed Spirit of Cricket Trophy.

The latest initiative by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was decided during the Annual General Body meeting on Thursday.

The most successful skipper of Pakistan in Test cricket, Misbah, retired from the game after winning the series against the West Indies, he will receive the cash award of Rs500,000 along with the trophy.

A PCB committee selected Misbah as the winner of the first award.

Furthermore, the committee also picked up emerging youngsters spinner Shadab Khan and quickie Hasan Ali in the category of upcoming cricketers for the year 2016-17.
