CM visits wheat procurement centres, suspends food inspector

The chief minister reached to wheat procurement centers in ordinary vehicles without any protocol or prior intimation.

During these visits, he inspected different facilities provided to farmers at wheat procurement centers. He expressed utmost displeasure over lying of carpet at Wazirabad wheat procurement center and ordered to suspend a food inspector. He said farmers should be provided with facilities instead of any pomp and show and he would not tolerate such show off in any case.

Shehbaz Sharif said he had issued clear-cut instructions and the violation would not be tolerated at any cost. He also directed to remove the carpet immediately.

The chief minister reached at wheat procurement center Wazirabad without any protocol or security and the administration also remained oblivious of his visit.

He inspected the wheat procurement campaign and distribution of gunny bags in the center and also inquired farmers about the distribution of gunny bags.

The farmers expressed their satisfaction over the distribution of gunny bags and thanked the chief minister for ensuring distribution of gunny bags in his personal supervision.

The chief minister while talking to farmers said he had remained engaged in the solution of problems of farmers' community even during China visit and soon after his visit, he had been present here to serve them. He said farmers were not alone and he had always been standing with them in every moment and adding that he would go to every extent to safeguard their interests.

Shehbaz Sharif checked the register of distribution of gunny bags at the center and issued on-spot instructions for the redressal of problems of farmers. He directed a system to timely check the Gardawari be evolved so that farmers may not have to wait. The farmers told the chief minister that the best facilities had been provided at the center; and added that they congratulated the chief minister for devising the best system of distribution of gunny bags.

Later, the chief minister raided Mandi Khel wheat procurement center in Narowal district. He inspected in detail the wheat procurement campaign and distribution of gunny bags among the farmers. He listened to problems of farmers for quite some time even in scorching heat and issued instructions on-the-spot to solve their problems.

A large number of farmers gathered at the arrival of the chief minister.

The chief minister took notice of delay in issuance of gunny bags to an elder farmer and reprimanded the concerned officials and directed that the elder farmer be issued the gunny bags today positively. He assured to farmers that no injustice would be allowed to be done in the distribution of the gunny bags. He also inspected scroll and entry register of farmers.
