Real Madrid superstar bids emotional farewell

15 May, 2017

James appeared to farewell the Madrid fans on Sunday when he was substituted after 61 minutes with Casemiro in 4-1 win over Sevilla. He gave a solemn clap to the home fans.

The applause and apparent waving have been reported by numerous sources as reason to suggest he's saying goodbye to the club ahead of a move that is being most strongly tipped to be Old Trafford.

We have reported earlier, that Manchester United is interested in signing the 25-year-old, and it could have just been because it was the last home game of Real's season.

Since joining Real from Monaco following the 2014 World Cup, Rodriguez has failed to hold down a regular starting spot under a succession of managers but, with Zinedine Zidane rotating his squad in recent weeks, he has scored seven goals in his last 10 appearances.
