LAHORE: Suspended Pakistani opener cricketer Khalid Latif has appeared before Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) anti-corruption unit (ACU) for spot-fixing probe on Tuesday.

According to Dunya News, the unit will demand more information from Khalid during the interrogation. Khalid Latif has been accused of violating six clauses of anti-corruption code, but the cricketer has denied all allegations.

Latif has asked the authorities to extend his date of hearing to May 6th.

It is pertinent to mention that Khalid Latif had refused to appear before ACU on April 26 in the presence of Colonel (retd) Azam, who is also the head of ACU.

The cricketer showed his reservations regarding his presence, and said Colonel (retd) Azam’s behavior was very unreasonable with him.

The PCB's Vigilance and Security Department rejected the allegations leveled by Khalid terming it 'frivolous, baseless and false allegations.'

PCB later directed Khalid Latif to appear before ACU at any cost by issuing him a notice.
