KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers-Sindh arrested eight members of the most wanted gang of robbers from Gadap Town and Hub area of Balochistan on Thursday.

According to a statement issued by the law enforcers here this evening, the gang was busted consequent to a intelligence based targeted operation.

The alleged criminals were said to be involved in more than 80 cases committed in Gulzar-e-Hijri, Safora Goth, Sachal Goth, Ayub Goth, Ayesha Manzil, Orangi Town, Gulshan-e-Maymar, New Sabzi Mandi, Yosuf Goth, Abul Hasan Isphahani Road and localities adjacent to Super Highway.

The operation that also involved technical monitoring and ground surveillance led to the arrest of accused Zahid Ali, Azizullah, Umer Farooq Udho and Ehsanullah from different parts of Gadap Town.

It was on the basis of information provided by them that other wanted members of the group namely accused Umer Magsi, Ali Hasan alias Akber, Ibrahim Magsi, Kashif Magsi were taken into custody from Hub.

These four were said to had sought refuge in Hub after allegedly killing two people in Karachi

The Pakistan Rangers-Sindh spokesman said the group was also involved in bank burglary and had looted cash worth Rs.350,000 besides mobile snatching.

Weapons and ammunition were said to had been retrieved from their possession.

The alleged robbers were handed to local police for necessary legal procedure.
