KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 49827.51 points with a positive change of 42.34 and volume of 120,948,690 shares.

High and Low were 49954.04 and 49645.12 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 323,016,430 shares with 388 total traded companies out of which 167 were up 202 were down and 19 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 52,745,100 shares. It was followed by CHEMICAL with a total traded volume of 38,164,390 shares.

The three top traded companies were Summit Bank with a volume of 22,653,500 and price per share of 4.96 (0.21), B.O.Punjab with a volume 18,976,000 of price per share of 13.70 (1.00), Ghani Automobile with a volume 12,830,500 of price per share of 16.29 (0.99).

The top three advancers were Nestle PakistanXD with price per share 9400.00 (200.00), Sanofi-AventisXD with price per share of 2246.47 (106.97) and Colgate Palmolive share of 2200.33 (100.33).

The top three decliners were Rafhan MaizeXD with price per share of 7300.00 (50.00), The Searle Co.XDXB with price per share of 638.38 (29.51) and Ghandhara Ind. share of 873.85 (25.71).
