Pakistan set new records in first Test win against Windies

26 Apr, 2017

It was the skipper himself who hit successive sixes off Devendra Bishoo to give Pakistan victory by seven wickets against West Indies on Tuesday.

The Test match was also special for the number of feats achieved by Pakistani players during the game:

Muhammad Amir claims best figure

Pakistan bowling spearhead achieved his best ever figures in Test cricket, as he bamboozled the Windies in the first innings, claiming 6 wickets for 44 runs, with an impressive economy of 1.69.

Yasir Shah gets his groove back

Leggie Yasir Shah faced a lot of criticism after his lacklustre show Down Under earlier this year, but it seems the always smiling leg spinner has found his rhythm back, as he completed a six-wicket haul to spearhead a second innings rout of the West Indies.

Misbah-ul Haq enters the 5k club

Pakistan Test captain Misbah entered the 5,000 Test runs club, becoming only the seventh Pakistani to achieve this feat. Misbah now sits with the likes of Javed Miandad, Inzamam-ul Haq, Zaheer Abbas and fellow partner Younis Khan.

Younis Khan writes history

Younis Khan etched his name into Pakistan history books, as he became the only Pakistan batsman to reach the 10,000 runs mark in Test cricket.

He also became the 13th batsmen ever to achieve this landmark.
